Annoyances List

This list is just beginning...

This is a list of things that annoy me.

People who:

• Accelerate too fast while driving - it wastes gas and 9 times out of 10 they have to slam the breaks further up the road.
• Take advantage of someone else's generosity.
• Act beastly.

Corporations who:

• Charge disproportionately to the value of the service they offer.
• Attempt to impose artificial barriers on what people can and can not due, whether as a fundamental aspect of their business model or in order to charge for extra services.

Open source projects who:

• Don't release adequate documentation due to charging for it.

Media who:

• Report only US casualties, ignoring the genocide of Iraqis as though their lives did not matter. We bewail 4000 of our soldiers yet we have slaughtered hundreds of thousands of their people.
• Make fun of the French or Hispanics (or any group for that matter).

General:

• Social networking sites are suspect because they no doubt analyze the networks using what are called SNA (Social Network Analysis) software. Very scary stuff, some of it aimed at destabilizing or controlling social networks. I used to work for CASOS @ CMU who did such.
