Related to this is the Job-Search resume matching program, which had been written earlier.  I’m half-way through writing a web front end so anyone can submit their resume and have the results processed.  This includes creating a daily update script for the scraper.  The resume matcher takes your resume, parses all the different skills and experience, and uses this to query Craigslist job postings to find the best matches.

Lastly, I’ve written code for Reasonbase that populates a wiki with information that has been extracted from text.  It runs OpenCalais along with other text analysis procedures on the submitted URI, and these provide information for all the named entities, which are then fed into a Wiki.  The first instance of this, the Tara Knowledge Archives, is (partially) online.

The FRDCSA release is coming along, although I haven’t spent too much time on it recently.  Of course, all the software I mentioned above with be copied via git to the VM before being released.

There are so many projects I want to work on.  But reality is calling. Disability will soon expire and then I’ll be looking for a job.  So if you know anyone that wants to hire, please let them and me know.  I am

I read their argument, and without knowing it, rebelled against what
it was suggesting.  I wrote a reasonably elegant reply that I cannot
recover and that may be moderated out of existence, in which I
challenge their article.  I didn’t realize it when I wrote it but now
I do - they are attempting to shut out the commons - in other words,
to make the market all encompassing, consume even love.  The title is
“Are The Best Things In Life Free?”  Note the cannonical form of this
propaganda.  Many propaganda pieces begin with a question.  Perhaps
the question is meant to cast doubt or to appear rhetorical.  The
article appears in the guise of an education piece, and attempts to
reduce ethereal entities into commodities that can eventually be
bought and sold, or otherwise fit squarely into the capitalist
mindset.  The source of the article is from the “Senior Economist”,
which from the looks of it has a vested interest in tainting all
realms of life by inclusion to the “market”.  This is precisely the
frontal assault on the commons by the “hungry hungry vectorialists”
that is warned against by such pieces as:

Anyways I find it interesting how their worldview masquerades as
“education”.  Note that I did not argue against the article based on
its direct merits (i.e. at the object level), but by indicators such
as its source and an intuitive “territory” or reachability reasoning.
In otherwords I perceived the “greedy” generalization.  I suppose
actually developing a full (possibly object level) rebuttal would be
appropriate.  Unfortunately, I lack the philosophical know-how to
construct such an argument.

This is a test. All too often these corporate media censor
and “approve” posts - so that their exclusive view comes on.
First, for the last several years, this Anderson Cooper guy, I
just hate him. It’s probably because I see my weaknesses in him.
But I truly hate him. I wouldn’t mind a report saying he wasn’t
here anymore. He is their remorseless agent. Anyways, Israel -
OMG. Rolls eyes. I feel obliged to throw some words against
Israel because of their recent crimes. These are crimes too
numerous to be particularized. First of all, if Israel is to get
it’s land back which they claim, then I demand that at the same
time I am given back the lands my family used to rule in Northern
Ireland. I demand reparations, on the scale of those payed to
the Jews, to be paid to my family. I also demand that the
so-called Native Americans (e.g. the Lakotans), are fully
restored to all the lands the country has illegally (according to
the U.S. Supreme Court) stolen from them, as specified in the the
treaty of, was it, 1868? But no one will take me seriously. Why
is it that when 6 million Jews are massacred (if we are to
believe the reports) they are paid full reparations, but when an
equal number of Irish or so-called Native Americans are massacred
by the English, no reparations are paid. The Jews are given
special treatment - no one can deny this. Look at how our
government fully supports Israel but does nothing for the
Palestinians. This is institutionalized racism. Our media is
sickening. I will not mention the few sources of real news I am
able to acquire, but they do not come from these corporations who
profit by the death and destruction of innocent people. Look at
how the Iraqis have been made to suffer as the Israelis use their
American dogs to conduct a war of rapine. This is not
questioned. I have lived long enough to realize the lies here.
But then again I don’t think it is truth that you people are
after. I think, in light of these recent events - the fact that
the United States and Israel are carnivorous entities devouring
innocent beings without hesitation will come to be held as true
by all people who are acquainted with the truth. I am sure there
are plenty of Israelis who are good people - like the Shministen.
I believe Israel has a right to exist - but as equals - not as
our oppressors. The leader of Hamas spoke the truth when he
said “We kneel to none except God”. The united states is
obsessed with violence and death. Just look at video games and
movies. They are sociopathic. Anything that equates with social
justice is ridiculed or overtly destroyed. I wonder how long you
stage actors can keep fooling the masses with your “knowledge -
it’s ignorant” campaign. The truth cannot be inferred by
listening to you but by observing the invisible effects of your
actions. I wish you would learn to speak the truth every now and
then, instead of hiding it. The palestinians have felt the
truth, in the way that I previously mentioned it can only be
felt. They know the truth about you. And though you have
strangled them so that they cannot utter a word of it, and though
you have poisoned all who listen to you against them so that even
if the word were to fall upon them they would not listen, but
would recoil and even denounce using some particular slur or
slander the palestinians, and even though you have controlled the
nature of debates, altered the substance of thought, and made a
mockery of intellectual discussion, the truth about you will out.
