Here is what I am doing to help save Tara.
Myspace Contact system
I have used some Perl modules to extract the list of people who are friends of the Save Tara campaign and specific to Chicago (and/or other locations) and get their email and myspace account info, so that we can contact them regarding planned events, etc.
RT Ticket Queue
Setting up a trouble-ticketing system called RT to help manager logistics of the campaign.
