I am interested in seeing if anyone is interested in the following AI project.

Project Name:

Transportation Systems of the Future Simulator (TSFS).

Goal:

Design an implement a simulated transportation system that incorporates AI control of vehicles.

Misc:

Each vehicle should be rationally agentified, on a simulated communication system. A physical simulation should exist of the actual vehicle positions and states. All manner of damage and irregularities should be indexed and modelled. Everything from human pedestrians and bicyclists, buses stopping at train tracks, highway pile-ups, adverse weather and road conditions, road construction, rerouting, emergency vehicles, etc. Integration with other modes of transportation - all modes - desired. Each person via their mobile computer and each vehicle should have a rational agent that communicates and assists in route planning, dynamic rerouting, etc., that interfaces with their personal planning systems. Security should be thoroughly addressed, as well as control issues (not allowing malicious groups to override the intentions of any agent - interfaces with political theories.

Aspects unique to machine controlled transportation should be explored - shared environmental hazard mapping and communication, possibility of obsoleting stop lights by interweaving crisscrossing traffic, management of non-AI/foreign vehicles, global optimization of shared priority systems and externalities (optimize gas usage), psychological optimization and attention (minimize the distress of passengers, either in relation to the criticalities of their goals (life/death emergencies) etc). Dyanmic transport planning using location logic.
